Do-it-yourself Podcasting with NASA
NASA has made video and audio clips, and images available from the NASA site, copyright free. Click on a topic on the right to view resources. Students can use the audio resources and still images in Garageband to create an audio podcast. Use all resources in iMovie and create student podcasts. Topics include Fitness, Lab Safety, Newtons Law, Robots, Rocket Evolution, Solar Arrays, Space Suits, and Sports Demo.
The process is simple. Download NASA audio and/or video clips and images to a file. Have students write a production script or create a storyboard. Students record their narration, edit their product and share it on teacher/school blog, wiki or iTunes U.
